In our hands we hold the quad core version of Galaxy S4 since the eight-core model will be arriving at a later date here in Greece. The Galaxy S4 that is hidden inside this box is the black version of the phone which Samsung calls "Black Myst" and has 16GB of storage.

Review Samsung Galaxy S4

The first item we find inside is the Galaxy S4 but we'll leave it aside for now in order to show you all the package contents. We greatly approve the fact that Samsung used recycled paper for the creation of the package and the manuals. Moreover, inside we find:

1. A USB cable used for transferring data and charging your phone

2. A white AC charger

3. A pair of earphones

The last item is the phone battery for which we'll talk about in a bit. It's time to take a closer look at the phone! We remove the protective covers and in that way we reveal some changes. When compared to the S3, the build quality of S4 is way better. That is why the Galaxy S4 looks and feels better, especially due to the new metal frame and its back shiny cover. On the front side of the Samsung Galaxy S4 we find a speaker, a 2MP camera, a sensor and a notification LED while at the bottom front part of the screen we find the home button and two touch buttons which you can't see right now since they're not active.

A USB port along with a microphone are located on the bottom side while the volume slider button can be found on the left side of the phone. An audio jack port, a noise cancellation microphone and an Integrated Infrared controller (IR) which used to connect to a TV or other devices.

The power button of the Galaxy S4 is located on its right side. On the back cover of the Samsung Galaxy S4 we find a 13MP camera along with a LED flash and the phone's main speaker on the bottom part. As usual, the back cover of the Samsung Galaxy S4 can be removed in order for the user to change the battery of the phone. The Samsung Galaxy S4's battery is 2600 mAh which means that the phone can last up to 350 hours in standby mode and 17 hours in talk mode. Impressive numbers, right?

Let's take a look at the dimensions of the phone! Screen: 5 inches Height: 136.6 mm Width: 69.8 mm Thickness: 7.9 mm Weight: 130g Let's take a look at the technical specifications of Samsung Galaxy S4! CPU: Quad Core 1.9 GHZ Krait 300 RAM: 2GB Storage: 16GB (Up to 64GB via a Micro SD card) Display: 1920 X 1080 (Full HD) PPI: 441 Last but not least, Samsung Galaxy S4 supports all 2G, 3G and 4G networks.

Galaxy S4 ships with the latest version of Android pre-installed which is 4.2.2. Usually, in this part of a video like this we talk about whether the experience that Android provides is smooth or not. Considering we're reviewing Samsung Galaxy S4, it is really obvious. In our opinion, the most important selling point of Samsung Galaxy S4 is its screen.

The combination of rich colors, excellent black levels, amazing contrast and the multiple viewing angles is what makes the phone's screen really shine. The viewing experience that Samsung Galaxy S4 offers is truly one of a kind and its a shame that we can't really show you its true quality through this video.

One of the most important points of this review is the new features of Samsung Galaxy S4. Smart Scroll tracks your head movement and not your eyes. It's really a pity that only the pre-installed browser of S4 supports it. Also, page scrolling is also available via the phone gyroscope. Another great feature of the Galaxy S4 is the Smart Pause, which stops a video whenever the user is looking away from the screen.

Also, Samsung Galaxy S4 supports air gestures such as waving your hand over the phone etc. Moreover, the Airview of S-Pen which we first met in Note II can now be used with fingers rather than the pen. All these features are really impressive but in our opinion these are mostly gimmicks rather than useful features. One negative aspect of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is the position of the touch buttons which I accidentally kept pressing with the palm of my hand.

When it comes to the camera of the Galaxy S4, I can't say I was quite impressed with its performance in indoor photos. The camera of the Samsung Galaxy S4 has some special features such as the simultaneous use of both cameras and the "Drama Shot" which captures photos of a moving object.

Overall, the quality of the photos and videos of the S4's camera are truly outstanding. Samsung Galaxy S4 is available now at the price of €739,89.
Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and Sony Xperia Z are the leaders of the Android market. If you can't compromise with a low or a mid end phone, then look no further. Samsung Galaxy S4 is the ultimate choice.
